turkey-Required Documents for the Public School
- Transcripts or report cards: You must have a record of grades for the last two years, translated into English. They must be in PDF or JPEG format only, and less than 5MB in size. You will only be able to upload one document, so please ensure all pages of the records of grades are scanned as a single document.
- Passport photo page: Please scan the passport photo page of the applicant’s passport, if they have a passport already. This allows us to double-check the applicant’s information to ensure that all correspondence is correct.
- Course Request Form: This form will be sent after school placements are continued
- Student’s letter of intent: This letter is completed independently by the student explaining their desire to come to Canada and study in North Vancouver Schools. It should outline their past studies, their interests and hobbies, and their future goals. If this letter is longer than one page, make sure you scan all pages as a single document. Elementary applicants, please tell us about yourself, your family and your interests.
- English language assessment: Not all students need an English language assessment. Generally, students planning to graduate in BC will be tested during our Orientation.
- International Student Agreement: The parent(s) the application must sign our agreement. During the online application process, please download the North Vancouver School District International Student Agreement, have it signed in ink, and scanned as a PDF or JPEG file only.
- Application Fee Receipt: Please provide a copy of the electronic receipt of payment which includes the student’s full legal name.
Recommended documents
We recommend that you collect the following documents prior to applying. These documents assist us in making an admission decision should we require additional information. They each must be submitted as single documents in PDF or JPEG format only and less than 5MB each.
- Letter of Recommendation: Please have a teacher, school counselor, or Headmaster/Principal write a letter of recommendation for the applicant. This letter should be on the school letterhead and identify the student and their strong points. If this letter is longer than one page, make sure you scan all pages as a single document.
- Immunization records: Please fill out a student immunization form provided by the local health authority.
- Custodian document: If the applicant will not be part of our local homestay program, or if they choose not to use their custodianship service, they must assign a custodian. This custodian must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, over 25 years old, have English fluency and must live full time in the Vancouver area.
- Photo albums: Please scan photos for the entire album as one document.
- Study Permit: Please provide a Valid BC Study Permit if currently attending a school in BC.
